All students need to be 18 years old or older. They are required to take physical tests (eyes and reaction tests) and then to take at least 15 training hours (10- hour practical and 5- hour theoretical sessions) and to finally take the practical and theoretical tests at school. There is no requirement for driving skills for an application. Only school training vehicles are used for this course. The driving license course is valid for 180 days: starting from the first day of a student’s fingerprint scanning in the department of land transportation system.
The 10-hour practical session
Students can take the course on their preferred date by taking 2-4 hours a day. The school opens 7 days a week and provides 5 time slots during the day for a selection (08.00-10.00, 10.00-12.00, 13.00-15.00, 15.00-17.00, and 17.00-19.00). Students can complete this required practical session within 2-5 days: depending on their driving skills and time available to take the course daily. However, students who do not have sufficient driving skills, after completing this session, may have to take additional practical hours to ensure that they can perform the practical tests and more importantly, can drive safely in the actual driving situation.
There are 3 main subjects to be trained in this session and they include:
When the accumulative practical hour of each student reaches 10 hours as required, students can take the 3 practical tests at school on the day the tests are conducted. If students do not pass any of the practical tests, students are required to retake only the test that they failed by contacting the administrative office to make a schedule for the retest. If students still do not pass any retest, they are required to do additional retests by contacting the administrative office to make a schedule for the next retest.
The 5-hour theoretical training session
The 5-hour theoretical training session and the theoretical test are available every Thursday and Saturday, starting from 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. The school will provide VDO with English subtitles for students to watch on that day. When the accumulative theoretical hour of each student reaches 5 hours as required, students can take a theoretical test at the end of the day. The criterion for passing the theoretical test is at least 45 marks from 50 questions (1 mark for 1 question). If students fail the test, they can do one retest on the same day. If students do not pass the retest, they are required to do additional retests by contacting the administrative office to make a schedule for the next retests.
When students apply to the course, they will receive digital links of the driving license practice tests to practice samples of the theoretical tests.
When passing all the practical and theoretical tests, students will receive the certificate from the school. This certificate is valid for 6 months starting from the day when the certificate is issued. Students present the certificate to the department of Land Transportation to process the driving license.
Course for students who intend to improve their driving skills: Practice Driving Course (4-6 hours)
D-1 Driving School also provides practice driving courses for those who already have driving license but are willing to practice more safety driving skills. Students can take 4-6 hours of driving practice course. Only school training vehicles are used for this course.
For all the courses mentioned, instructors can teach using fair English language.
